Biden's Big Infrastructure Deal
The House passed President Joe Biden's Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill on a 228-206 vote.
13 Republicans voted with the Democrats. The historic bill is now set to become law and will include programs such as:
Clean energy transmission and electrical grid upgrades
Resiliency investments of physical and natural system
The Largest investment in passenger rail since the creation of Amtrak
Builds out the first-ever national network of Electric Vehicle chargers
Delivers thousands of electric school buses nationwide
Expands access to clean drinking water to all American families=
Largest investment in tackling legacy pollution in American history by
Cleaning up Superfund and brownfield sites, reclaiming abandoned mines, and capping orphaned oil and gas wells.
The Bipartisan Infrastructure bill will also address repair and maintenance backlogs, reduce congestion and emissions near ports and airports, and drive electrification and other low-carbon technologies.
