January 6th Select Committee Subpoena Surprise
The Select Committee To Investigate The January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol is demanding records and testimony from witnesses including numerous Trump White House officials, and 2020 reelection campaign staff.
Chairman Bennie Thompson says that:
“We need to know precisely what role the former President and his aides played in efforts to stop the counting of the electoral votes and if they were in touch with anyone outside the White House attempting to overturn the outcome of the election.”
Bannon Indicted
Steve Bannon was charged with one contempt count for refusing to appear for a deposition and another involving his refusal to produce documents related to the January 6th attack on the Capitol.
